That We May All Be One

We are a diverse group of individuals who have found joy in being accepted and affirmed by God and each other. Our congregation includes people of different ages, education levels, races, abilities, and sexual orientations. We celebrate our diversity and draw strength from it, seeing it as a reflection of God’s inclusive love.

At Community Spirit Church, we firmly believe that all people are created in God’s image and, as such, are equally loved and blessed by God. Our Christian faith is centered around the unifying and strengthening power of love, which we strive to embody every day. We are an open and affirming Christian community that wholeheartedly embraces all people, just as Jesus did.

We extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to follow Jesus, regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin, faith background, marital status and family structure, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, mental and physical ability, economic and social status, and educational background. Our church family is open to all who seek to share in our ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, blessings, and joys.

Jesus taught us to welcome everyone into God’s covenantal community, and we are committed to celebrating the diversity in which God has created us. Our goal is to grow together in faith and love while creating a safe and nurturing community of faith that welcomes everyone.

We firmly believe that “no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” Everyone is welcome to participate fully in the life, leadership, ministry, and mission of our church as we seek to grow together and spread God’s love to all.
