Love in Action
After decades of referring to our ministry as “Inreach/Outreach,” we boldly welcomed 2025 to infuse new energy into our mission with a fresh name: Love in Action.
We are dedicated to strengthening the bonds within our congregation by offering meaningful inreach services. This approach focuses on caring for one another while fostering a sense of belonging and support. We celebrate each individual through our vibrant birthday card ministry, provide meals for those who are shut-in, and organize quarterly potlucks to share in fellowship. These activities not only help us grow in our faith but also allow us to deepen our connections and truly get to know one another.
Our primary focus is outreach, dedicated to serving our community through road cleanups, food bank collections, hygiene kits for unhoused members of our community, and various projects that embody our mission—to change the world for good.
In promoting “the habit of giving,” we strive to offer at least one opportunity each month for our congregation to engage in outreach projects that uplift the lives of others.
This very active committee meets for lunch on the third Friday of each month at Camp Robber Restaurant (on South Townsend across from Home Depot). The meetings start promptly at 11:30 AM and usually end by 1:00 PM. Be sure to check our calendar and newsletter for particular details each month.
Here are some photos from our bi-annual road cleanup. It was a beautiful fall day when we gathered at Loncar Park for refreshments and fellowship after our good work:
