Progressive Pages: Our Engaging Book Discussion Group

Soul Boom: Why We Need a Spiritual Revolution (click to order on Amazon)Join Us for a Transformative Book Discussion!

Our book group began meeting again on Saturday, May 16th at 4:00 PM. We gather on Saturday afternoons in the community room of the Hispanic Affairs Project at 504 N. 1st Street in downtown Montrose. As we have done in the past, we read the book aloud together and engage in thoughtful discussions as we go. You do not need to read it ahead of time.

The book we are currently reading is Soul Boom: Why We Need a Spiritual Revolution by Rainn Wilson and the reactions from those in the group have been very positive. (There’s a lot of laughing involved! )

Here is a short overview from Amazon: The trauma our species has faced requires a spiritual revolution for healing on personal and global levels. This exploration emphasizes the importance of spirituality across all beliefs, offering practical and transformative insights rooted in ancient wisdom. With humor and relatable references, it seeks unifying understanding in a challenging world.

You can order this book on Amazon at a.co/d/0bh6QnCN (in many formats).

Bring any drinks or snacks you want to enjoy during the discussion. And, by all means, please feel free to bring a friend!

Here are a couple of the previous books we have read together:

The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times (Jane Goodall)
Worth Fighting For: Finding Courage and Compassion When Cruelty is Trending (John Pavlovitz)
